Rivera is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Rivera has assumed the bulk of the catching duties since Travis d'Arnaud (wrist) hit the disabled list, but he'll concede a start in the series finale to Kevin Plawecki, who will serve as the battery mate for Tommy Milone. D'Arnaud recently kicked off a rehab assignment and could be ready to return from the DL later this week, at which point Rivera will see his at-bats tail off.
