Cronin has been named to the Nationals' 60-man player pool, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

While not a big-name prospect, the 22-year-old southpaw posted a 0.82 ERA and 41:11 K:BB in 22 innings for Low-A Hagerstown last season, and Cronin's addition to the 60-man pool could be a sign the club has him on the fast track to the big-league bullpen. He's still highly unlikely to make his debut for the Nats in 2020, however.
