Nationals' Raudy Read: Sent to minor-league camp

The Nationals reassigned Read to minor-league spring training Sunday, Jessica Camerato of MLB.com reports.

While Read was given the chance to compete for a backup catcher job this spring, the Nationals' decision to outright him off the 40-man roster in October made him a long shot to break camp with the big club. Read will likely spend most of the 2021 campaign at Triple-A Rochester.
