Rangers' Brett Hayes: Sent to minors camp

Hayes was reassigned to minor league camp Friday.

Hayes went 4-for-14 (.286) this spring, but he was never in a position to challenge for a roster spot. The Rangers have the catcher position on lock at the big league level, so Hayes will head to the minors where he'll serve as organizational depth.
