Barnhart went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday against the Pirates.

Barnhart took Keone Kela deep in the ninth inning to record his first home run of the campaign. He's gotten off to a slow start at the dish and has entered into a true timeshare behind the plate with Curt Casali as a result. Prior to this effort, Barnhart had failed to collect a hit in his last 19 at-bats and is hitting just .156/.182/.250 in 33 plate appearances this season.
