White Sox trim down roster on Wednesday

The White Sox made another round of roster cuts on Wednesday, optioning Matt Davidson, Adrian Nieto, Tyler Saladino, Kevan Smith and Trayce Thompson to Triple-A Charlotte. Raul Fernandez and Michael Ynoa were optioned to Double-A Birmingham, per the team's official website.

Chicago also reassigned Dan Black, Andy LaRoche, J.D. Martin, Jared Mitchell, Tim Anderson and Tyler Danish to minor-league camp.
