Thomas (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Celtics, Steve Popper of The Record reports.
Thomas' sore right hip will extend his absence to six games, with his next opportunity to return coming Tuesday against the Bulls. With Carmelo Anthony (knee) also out, Kristaps Porzingis will be the Knicks' unquestioned top option and could see elevated usage in the team's frontcourt.
