Wood is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in the near future and will remain out for several weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Wood has been sidelined since the All-Star break with a left knee effusion, and after an extended period of rest and rehab apparently wasn't enough to resolve the issue, the veteran big man will now require a procedure to treat the injury. A timeline for Wood's return may not be established until he gets his knee scoped, but he'll most likely be sidelined for the duration of the regular season. Wood has appeared in 50 games (one start) for the Lakers this season, averaging 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.4 minutes per contest.
