Garuba will undergo surgery Thursday to repair a fractured left wrist and is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

As feared, Garuba will need surgery and won't be ready to play until around mid-March. It's unclear when the rookie first-round pick initially suffered the injury, but it quickly became a major issue. He's only made 15 appearances at the NBA level this seaosn, so his extended absence shouldn't affect Houston's rotation.
