  • Brandon Randolph: Waived by Atlanta

    Randolph was waived by Atlanta on Tuesday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Randolph was signed and subsequently waived by the Hawks on Tuesday, likely as a means to gain his G League rights. Other NBA franchises will have an opportunity to claim Randolph, but it's likely he settles in with Atlanta's G League affiliate for the 2023-24 season.

Randolph was efficient from the field and posted a decent all-around stat line. His uptick in numbers since joining Austin has been outstanding, and he's averaging 19.2 points per game in 16 contests with the Spurs' G League affiliate. To put things into perspective, Randolph averaged just 9.9 points per game across 11 appearances with the Wisconsin Herd.

Randolph has had six 20-point performances since joining Austin in February.

The former Arizona star is averaging 21.3 points per game in his seven games with Austin, a massive upgrade compared to his time with Westchester.

Randolph has started in each of his five appearances with the Spurs and has looked quite good, as he's enjoying a more prominent role than he had with the Herd. Over five games with Austin, the former Arizona product is averaging 21.0 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while surpassing the 15-point plateau in each of those contests.
