Redmond (ankle) was waived/injured by the 49ers on Friday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
The 2016 third-round draft pick failed to rehab from an ankle issue this preseason after missing all of last year with a significant knee injury. The 49ers could reclaim Redmond and place him on injured reserve if he passes through waivers Saturday.
