  • Redmond re-signed with the Packers on Friday, NFL.com reports. Redmond will stick in Green Bay for a fourth consecutive season. During his time with the Packers, the 27-year-old has served as a fill-in safety, special-teams contributor and cornerback. After compiling 28 tackles (21 solo) and one pass breakup throughout 13 games in the 2020 season, Redmond will now aim to compete for an increased role in the secondary in the upcoming season.

  • Redmond (concussion) will be available for Sunday's game against the Bears, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Redmond will return to action after clearing the league's five-step concussion protocol, which kept him out of last week's win over the Titans. The fifth-year safety's role has fluctuated this year, and he's averaged 26 defensive snaps per game.

  • Redmond (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts. The 26-year-old missed the past two games with the shoulder issue, but he'll be back on the field Sunday. Redmond should fill a reserve role in the secondary for Green Bay.

  • Redmond is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Vikings with a shoulder injury, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Redmond had six tackles while playing every defensive snap last week against the Texans, but he was without a tackle before suffering the injury Sunday. Henry Black is the remaining healthy reserve safety for Green Bay, as Vernon Scott (shoulder) also exited.

  • Redmond recorded 36 tackles and a pass breakup over 13 regular-season games in 2019. Redmond made four starts this year while Darnell Savage battled an ankle injury, but the emergence of Chandon Sullivan forced Redmond to the bench on defense late in the season, as he didn't record a defensive snap after Week 10. The 26-year-old Redmond did play in the NFC championship due to injury as well. He has a long way to go in terms of pass coverage, so he'll likely need to carve out a special-teams role in 2020 if the Packers retain him. Redmond will be an exclusive-rights free agent in March.
