Hanson (shin) was waived with an injury designation by the Packers on Tuesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Hanson left Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots after injuring his shin. With Hanson gone, James Empey is set to take over as the backup center behind Josh Myers.
