The Raiders are releasing Joyner on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Joyner never made good on his four-year, $42 million contract, starting 16 of 28 games in two seasons with the Raiders. He recorded 115 tackles, but he didn't pick off any passes and had just eight pass defenses. The 30-year-old was solid as both a safety and slot corner for the Rams earlier in his career.
