Texans' Benardrick McKinney: Becoming a three-down linebacker

McKinney recorded six tackles, including two sacks, in Thursday's 13-9 win over the Bengals.

McKinney is being asked to be a three-down linebacker this season. He played 59 of 64 snaps in the season opener, followed by 63 of 64 snaps Thursday. Those additional plays can lead to more tackles and sacks over the course of the season, particularly with Brian Cushing (suspension) set to miss another nine games. McKinney currently leads the Texans with 17 tackles.
