Hayes is dealing with an illness Wednesday and is questionable for Thursday's game against Nashville, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Hayes has 13 goals and 29 points in 75 appearances this season. If he doesn't play Thursday, then Zachary Bolduc might draw back into the lineup.
