Regula was put on waivers Tuesday, Chris Johnston of TSN reports.
Regula was acquired by Boston in June in the trade that sent Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno to Chicago. The 23-year-old Regula provided five goals, 21 points and 69 PIM in 51 minor-league contests with Rockford last season. If he clears, he will report to AHL Providence.
