Edmundson is currently away from the team to deal with a family matter, according to coach Dominque Ducharme, Eric Engels of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Edmundson was previously reported to be dealing with an undisclosed injury that was expected to sideline him for 2-3 weeks but now should be considered out indefinitely. In his stead, David Savard should continue to fill a third-pairing spot.
