Motte recorded an assist, two hits, a pair of blocked shots and two PIM in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Motte set up Tucker Poolman for a go-ahead goal at 1:30 of the third period, though the Canucks' lead lasted for just 49 seconds. The assist was Motte's first point in two games since returning from offseason neck surgery. The Michigan native occasionally saw top-six usage last year, but he'll likely remain in a fourth-line role in the near term as he gets back up to NHL speed. Outside of hits -- he had 100 in 24 contests last year -- Motte doesn't add much of anything to interest fantasy managers.
