Capitals' Madison Bowey: Sent to minors Monday

Bowey (upper body) was cut from the Capitals' training camp roster Monday, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

Bowey looked good during the preseason, but with the World Cup cohort now back and a deep defense corps on the Capitals depth chart, the second-round pick from the 2013 NHL Draft will begin the season with AHL Hershey. Bowey is worth keeping an eye on in dynasty formats moving forward, but shouldn't be on the fantasy radar in most leagues for 2016-17.
