Getzlaf (upper body) was placed on injured reserve and will not suit up Friday against Colorado, CapFriendly reports.
Getzlaf will miss his third straight game Friday, so his placement on IR may not affect his return timetable. For now, it's unclear when he'll be ready, so Getzlaf will be considered questionable for Sunday's rematch with the Avalanche.
