Hurricanes' Nino Niederreiter: Posts helper in loss

Niederreiter recorded an assist in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Stars.

Niederreiter has points in three straight games, and four points in eight outings since he returned from a lower-body injury. The Swiss winger is at four goals, three helpers, 31 shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-3 rating in 15 contests. He's played mainly in a middle-six role this year, but the 29-year-old is versatile enough to move around the lineup. An extended run of offense could see Niederreiter draw into a top-six role.
