Pelech has registered assists in consecutive games for the Islanders.
Pelech has three goals, 14 assists, and a plus-14 rating in 48 games. The rating is the best on the Islanders, and none of Pelech's teammates are better than plus-3. Pelech has more assists and points than he had all of last season, but offense is not his forte. His job is to keep the opposing team off the scoresheet, something that could prove quite difficult in New York's next game, Monday versus the Avalanche.
