Murray was put on waivers by Buffalo on Wednesday, Chris Johnston of TSN reports.
Murray recorded 23 goals and 49 points in 71 contests with AHL Rochester in 2022-23. He will likely be sent to Rochester if he goes unclaimed while on waivers.
