Murray was sent down to AHL Rochester on Wednesday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
Murray's demotion was the corresponding move to get Alex Tuch (lower body) back from injured reserve. Murray had one shot on goal and three hits in his one appearance with the Sabres on Monday versus Arizona.
