When he signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Sabres in the offseason, many questioned why the 40-year-old goalie would want to play for the 2020-21 last-place team. On this night, the Jack Eichel-less Sabres showed up by allowing just 31 shots and, with some help from a stellar Anderson, earned their first win of the season.
