Orioles' Christopher Bostick: Signs with Orioles
Bostick agreed to a minor-league contract with Baltimore on Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
Bostick will provide additional depth in the corner-outfield and middle-infield spots within the Orioles' system. He spent most of the 2018 season at the Triple-A level, hitting .295/.354/.414 with four home runs and 38 RBI. After being designated for assignment by Pittsburgh in early August, the 25-year-old latched on with Miami and finished the season playing in 15 major-league games. Though a path to playing time isn't exactly blocked in Baltimore, it seems likely that he'll be back at Triple-A next year.

Marlins' Christopher Bostick: Outrighted to minors

Bostick played in 13 games for the Marlins in 2018 after being acquired from Pittsburgh in mid-August. During his brief time in the majors with Miami, he went 3-for-14 with a double and two RBI.

As expected, Bostick was added to the Pirates' roster ahead of Monday's series opener against the Dodgers. The 24-year-old was slashing .320/.347/.495 with 11 RBI and three stolen bases at Indy before being promoted to serve as depth for a depleted Pittsburgh roster. This will be Bostick's first sniff of major-league action. The 24-year-old is off to a nice start at Indianapolis, slashing .320/.347/.495 with 11 RBI and three stolen bases. Bostick was exchanged for minor league catcher Taylor Gushue and cash considerations. The 23-year-old infielder was originally a 44th-round draft pick by the Athletics, but he exceeded expectations by showing an intriguing mix of pop and speed. His numbers dipped a good amount after being called up to Triple-A over the summer, but Bostick's .818 OPS with Double-A Harrisburg shows some promise for the future. Josh Harrison was designated for assignment to make room for Bostick on the 40-man roster.
