The NBA announced Thursday that Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended one game for a forearm swing to the head of Al Horford in the Kings' loss to Atlanta on Wednesday.

Cousins said last night he wasn't trying to hit Horford in head, rather get him off him after they were tangled up

The video sure looks like Cousins was trying to swing for his head. Even if he wasn't, you can't risk it. If you go high with an elbow/forearm, you're going to be suspended. The NBA doesn't play around with that stuff. And now the Kings, on a back to back, on the road in Miami, are without their best player, without whom they have been worked over which nearly caused the blowup between the players and coach last week. Not great.
