Current Indiana Pacers forward and ex-Los Angeles Laker Jordan Hill spoke with BBallBreakdown.com at Summer League about what it's like to play with Kobe Bryant, and here's a shocker: He talks a lot.

The trash talk thing is interesting. Michael Jordan was always a talker. LeBron James isn't so much. Kevin Garnett obviously is. Carmelo Anthony not so much. Dwyane Wade not really. Larry Bird is kind of my favorite on this subject because Bird was just very pointed. He would only say things to really get under your skin, the one thing to really just destroy you. Then he'd hit a shot and walk away.

For Bryant, his constant emoting of frustration or trash talking or bravado is all part of his leadership approach. The problem, of course, is that his solo leadership has never been very good. He provides a clear power structure, and that's good. But he can also alienate players and set unrealistic expectations. Where you fall on the scale of "strong leader" to "oppressive dictator" is all based on subjective impressions.

But Hill's right. Bryant is who he is and he's going to let you know that.
