Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Just misses 60-point mark in 2016-17
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Zuccarello wrapped up the 2016-17 regular season with 15 goals, 44 assists and a plus-15 rating over 80 games.

That meager goal total comes despite a career-high 189 shots, as Zuccarello ended up with a career-worst 7.9 shooting percentage. He skidded into the playoffs, too, recording just one point in the first five games against Montreal before posting a more typical six points in the remaining seven games before the Rangers were eliminated. Zuccarello has made a habit of falling just short of point-gathering milestones in his career, as he's finished three of the last four seasons with a point total ending in nine (59, 49, 61, then 59 again). He'll be 30 years old when next season kicks off, and there's no reason to think he won't finish around the 60-point mark once again.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Leads key Game 3 win with two points
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Zuccarello tallied a goal and an assist Tuesday, with both points coming in the first period of a Game 3 victory over Ottawa.

He opened the scoring 5:31 into the game, and the Rangers never looked back. After scuffling through the first five games of this postseason (one point, minus-2), Zuccarello blew up in the clinching Game 6 against Montreal and has carried that heat into this series. All in all, the Norwegian hobbit wizard has three goals and five points in his last four games as he continues to serve as one of the Rangers' primary sources of offense.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Scores twice in series-clinching win
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Zuccarello scored a pair of goals in Saturday's series-clinching Game 6 win over the Canadiens.

Zuccarello only had one point in the series leading up this point, but he came through Saturday when it mattered the most. He plays on the top line with Derek Stepan and Chris Kreider and you knew it wouldn't be long before he made his mark. He isn't known for his production in the postseason, but if the Rangers hope to go on a lengthy run, they'll need more performances from Zuccarello like the one we saw in Game 6.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Back to business Sunday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Zuccarello (undisclosed) will return to action Sunday against the Penguins.

Zuccarello returns following a two-game absence and is scheduled to skate on New York's top line. He's been absolutely on fire with eight points in his last six games, so feel free to plug him into your lineup as you normally would on the final day of the regular season.

Rangers' Mats Zuccarello: Unable to suit up for eventual loss
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Zuccarello (undisclosed) missed Saturday's game against the Senators.

The Rangers could've used Zuc since the game ended up in a 3-1 road loss, but then again, having him healthy for the playoffs is the highest priority. We wouldn't count on him suiting up for Sunday's home game against the Penguins, but it'll be worth checking back just in case. He's an impact winger who's registered 15 goals and 44 assists to complement a plus-14 rating over 79 games.
