Back in April, the San Diego Chargers made defensive end Joey Bosa the third overall pick in the NFL draft. Bosa, like several Chargers draft picks before him, then entered into a protracted contract dispute. He missed a large portion of training camp and several preseason games, eventually signing his rookie contract on Aug. 29.

His return to the team did not last long. Bosa sustained an injury on his first day back at practice and missed the first four games of the Chargers' season. He finally made his NFL debut this past Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

It was ... successful. Bosa had five total tackles, two sacks, an incredible seven pressures, per Pro Football Focus tracking. After his big game, Bosa said the change in the tenor of how San Diego fans are reacting to him has been swift.

Fans are fickle, folks.
