The New York Jets didn't get picked for Hard Knocks this year, but if the NFL decides to make a reality show about a wide receiver who gets traded to New York, then moves in with his new "starting" quarterback, the Jets will almost certainly get picked for that one.

That's not just a reality show I'm pitching either, it's real life. According to the New York Post, new Jets receiver Brandon Marshall moved in with Geno Smith recently and has been living with Smith for the past month in order to help build chemistry between the two players.

Marshall, who was traded from Chicago to New York in March, has been pleasantly surprised by his new quarterback, both on and off the field.

"I was just blown away by his maturity and how much he knows," Marshall said. "This kid is really smart. The sky is the limit for him."

Although Marshall's been impressed by Smith, he's not expecting any miracles from his new quarterback.

"This is a first-year offense," Marshall said. "If you guys are expecting me to be a [1,500]-yard receiver, that's high expectations. If you're expecting Geno Smith to go out there and crush it, I don't know how possible that is. It's a first-year offense with new guys, new faces. We're behind the eight ball. We have to put in extra work to catch up to those guys that have been together five, six, seven years."

Marshall's main goal this season is to win games and get the Jets to the playoffs. Sure, that's everyone's goal, but with Marshall, there's a sense of desperation. The 31-year-old has played in more games than any other active player without a postseason appearance.

The veteran wide receiver didn't win with the Bears, so now he wants to with the Jets.

"It's been about winning since I got to Chicago [in 2012]," Marshall said. "We didn't accomplish that, so it's about making the guys around us better [in New York]."

If Marshall and Smith end up having a big year together in 2015, I'm fully expecting A.J. Green to move in with Andy Dalton and a few other receivers to move in with their starting quarterbacks before the 2016 season starts.
