This beef dates back to January 2014, when Jimmy Graham, then with the Saints, and the Seahawks' Bruce Irvin almost got into it before a playoff game.

"He was warming up in our area and I asked him to move, and [Graham] said, 'I'm Jimmy.' So I knocked the ball out of his hand and I kicked it across the field," Irvin said at the time. "So that's how it started. That's how it started."

Irvin continued: "He said, 'I'm Jimmy.' And I was like, 'Who the hell is Jimmy?' So I knocked the ball out and kicked it across the field. And that's when he took my hat off."

So it's not surprising that Graham, who was traded to the Seahawks last month, and Irvin would have some things to sort out now that they're teammates. And that explains the West Side Story throwdown choreographed nicely in this Instagram photo:

Man of my word! #LoveOurBrothers @bwagz54 @bambamkam @rsherman25 @thejimmygraham @jkearse15 @seahawks @nfl

And just so there's no confusion -- and perhaps as a heads-up to Michael Bennett -- this was all staged.

There's still no explanation for this, however.
