Patriots face lack of options after releasing Aaron Hernandez

Now that the Patriots have released Aaron Hernandez, what does the market look like as the team tries to replace his production?

With the release of Aaron Hernandez, here are some names that may be connected to the  Patriots:

Visanthe Shiancoe: They brought in Shiancoe last year -- he's probably done but is available.

Brandon Lloyd: Lloyd won't help them with the matchup problems Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski cause. The lack of size is a big issue too. He's more of an outside receiver.

Chris Cooley: He used to be able to move as a tight end/H-back, but his body is shot. 

Marcedes Lewis: Maybe could be had, but the contract isn't friendly, and he's been ineffective for a few years now. I could see the Jags wanting to move that contract, though.

Dallas Clark: Looks like he is probably done as well, but he's the kind of guy they may have to reach out to now. He was working out with some draft prospects before the draft.
