For a brief second on Wednesday night, hundreds of people in Jacksonville, Florida thought they were going to be the first ones to hear Peyton Manning's retirement decision.

That didn't happen though.

Manning is well-known for his sense of humor, and he got to show it off while giving a speech at Wolfson Children's Hospital. Manning took the stage and immediately opened with a line that probably had everyone on edge.

"Many have heard I have a significant announcement to make, so I thought I'd make it here," Manning said, via NFL.com's Jeff Darlington.

Is he going to retire?

Is he going to return?

Is he going to sign with the Browns?

Nope, nope and nope.

As a matter of fact, Manning's announcement had nothing to do with football.

"Papa Johns is offering 50 percent off," Manning said.

To be fair, that's big news if you really like pizza, and it also gives me an excuse to show you the most fascinating picture that came out of the Super Bowl.

Anyway, since Peyton only made a pizza announcement, it doesn't look like we're going to get a retirement decision anytime soon.

The only person who really knows what Manning is going to do is Manning, and he hasn't really talked to anyone publicly since the Broncos' Super Bowl parade ended on Feb. 9.

The Broncos quarterback didn't let the crowd go home empty-handed: He did explain the meaning of 'Omaha.'

Manning was in Jacksonville on Wednesday as part of the the Florida Forum, which is an annual speaker series begun in 1992 and produced by The Women's Board at the Wolfson Children's Hospital.
