If you ask most Baltimore players, the power outage at Super Bowl XLVII was a bad thing. Ravens fullback Vonta Leach thought it really hurt his team, tight end Dennis Pitta called it frustrating and safety Ed Reed thought it killed Baltimore's momentum. However, the power outage was a good thing for at least one player on the Ravens roster: kick returner Jacoby Jones.

During an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show on Thursday, Jones said he was throwing up when the power outage occurred.

"When the lights went out, I didn't care," Jones told Kimmel via the Baltimore Sun. "I was tired, I was on the sidelines throwing up. Lights went out, I said, 'Yes.'"

The reason Jones was throwing up probably had everything to do with his Super Bowl-record 108-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half. The return occurred only 10 minutes before the power outage happened.

Before the blackout occurred, it looked like Jones -- puking and all -- was going to have to go back on the field to return a punt. On the 49ers' ensuing possession following the kickoff return, San Francisco looked to be on its way to a quick three-and-out, something that concerned Jones.

"It was third-and-12 [when the blackout occurred], I was going to have to go catch a punt. Oh God, I was gagging," he said.

Everything worked out for Jones though. The lights went out before San Francisco's third-down play and Jones got 34 minutes to recover from his 108-yard kickoff return.

Well, not everything worked out. Jones didn't win the Super Bowl MVP award despite totaling 290 yards -- 234 return, 56 receiving -- in the game. The MVP award, of course, went to Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, something that didn't seem to bother Jones.

"The only thing I say is Joe Flacco deserved it. What he's been through and did. Look at the postseason with 11 touchdowns, no interceptions. Sweet," Jones said.

Jones had a wide ranging interview with Kimmel, who asked the Ravens kick returner if he'd be interested in going on Dancing with the Stars, "Hey, man, do polar bears poo on ice? I hope they wouldn't do it in water. That's nasty. I'm ready, baby," Jones said.

Presumably, that means yes.
