The 12th Man has lost its collective mind. Seattle Seahawks fans -- or at least some Seattle Seahawks fans -- fired up a petition to ban Panthers quarterback Cam Newton from CenturyLink Field.
Change.org, a perfect example of everything right and wrong with modern society in one website, currently sports a petition from Seahawks fans lamenting Cam as "the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual on the face of the planet."
Cam Newton is one of the most unprofessional, unsportsmanlike individual on the face of the planet. So I say for the 2016-2017 when the Panthers come to play in Seattle he should be banned from entering the stadium. This should teach him to put his arrogance in check!!
The petition, started by a gentleman named Andrew Tilton, is closing in on the 1,000 signature barrier pretty rapidly -- on Monday afternoon it had just 50 supporters but is starting to pick up steam.
Which means ... something? I dunno, maybe someone will go to Tilton's house and arrest him for wasting humanity's time?
Seahawks fans had no issue with Newton coming into Seattle prior to this season. You certainly didn't hear complaints about Cam's behavior when the Seahawks won in the playoffs. So it's pretty clear this is a "sore loser" type of situation.
It's also clear when a comment mocking the petition has nearly as many likes as the petition does signatures this isn't something to take too seriously:
The petition is all based on Cam grabbing a 12th Man flag from the stands (in Charlotte no less) and throwing it to the ground.
Yes, everyone has way too much time on their hands.
