Lakers' Frank Mason: Joins Lakers for camp
Mason agreed Wednesday with the Lakers on a training camp deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Mason played for the 76ers in the Las Vegas Summer League but will ultimately get a tryout for the Lakers as he looks to find his way on an NBA roster before the 2021-22 campaign. That said, it seems unlikely he makes the team, given the wealth of point guards Los Angeles has on hand.... See More ... See Less

Mason will play for Philadelphia's Summer League team, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Frank Mason: Added by Blue Coats
The Blue Coats have reacquired Mason as an in-season affiliate player.
Mason hasn't been activated yet since joining the Blue Coats but will be part of the roster moving forward and figures to be part of the mix in the near future. He should see a decent amount of run considering he's not far removed from a stint on an NBA roster.... See More ... See Less
Frank Mason: Waived by Orlando
Mason was officially waived by the Magic on Monday.
The Magic are desperate for guard depth, and Mason's recent groin injury meant that he was unable to contribute. Chasson Randle was brought in on Monday, and he'll replace Mason as one of the Magic's two-way players. Mason appeared in three full games for Orlando, averaging 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 25.0 minutes.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Frank Mason: Still out Sunday
Mason (groin) is out Sunday against the Suns.
Mason will miss a second straight game after suffering a groin injury Thursday against the Warriors. However, he probably won't be in line to see significant minutes when he returns, as Michael Carter-Williams is back in the fold after missing time with a foot injury.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Frank Mason: Out Friday
Mason (groin) is out Friday against the Kings.
Mason suffered a groin strain four minutes into Thursday's action, and the injury is significant enough to keep him out on the second night of a back-to-back. In his absence, Michael Carter-Williams -- returning from a foot injury -- could fill a fair amount of Mason's minutes.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Frank Mason: Out with groin injury
Mason won't return to Thursday's game against the Warriors due to a strained right groin, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Mason's first start of the season lasted all of four minutes, as he wasn't even able to put up a shot attempt before exiting. The injury leaves the team without a point guard on its current roster with Cole Anthony (shoulder), Markelle Fultz (knee) and Michael Carter-Williams (foot) all sidelined heading into the contest.... Mason had 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists during Saturday's 118-92 loss to the Bulls.
Chicago ran away from Orlando during the middle quarters Saturday, so Mason ended up leading the bench with 26 minutes. The 26-year-old could end up seeing extra run if Evan Fournier (back) misses any more time after sitting out against the Bulls.... See More ... See Less
Magic's Frank Mason: Inks two-way deal with Magic
Mason agreed Tuesday with the Magic on a two-way deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Mason will join his fourth team in three seasons, as the guard had been without a home since being waived by the 76ers in December. The Magic are currently dealing with injuries at the guard position, thus possibly giving Mason an early opportunity to excel with his new squad. A second-round selection in 2017, Mason averaged 6.9 points and 3.2 assists in nine games with Milwaukee during the 2019-20 campaign.... See More ... See Less

Mason signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Sixers on Friday, but he was waived just one day later. The Bucks rescinded Mason's qualifying offer Sunday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
A two-way player last season, Mason was one of the more productive guards in the G League in 2019-20, but he saw little action with a loaded Bucks squad. He'll wrap up his lone year in Milwaukee with averages of 6.9 points, 3.2 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game over nine appearances at the NBA level. Milwaukee appears set to reserve its two two-way spots for guard Jaylen Adams and forward Mamadi Diakite.... See More ... See Less

Mason scored a career-best 19 points in the contest as he saw an extended look with multiple Bucks regulars sitting out. Mason has only appeared in two games since the restart, as he's a depth option for Milwaukee, but he's shown he has the chops to compete when he does take the floor. With Milwaukee having the No. 1 seed wrapped up, Mason could see another healthy dose of minutes against Memphis on Thursday.... See More ... See Less
