  • Hawks' Kevin Knox: Available Saturday

Knox (previously not with team) is available for Saturday's game against the Knicks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports.

Knox passed his physical and will be available. However, it seems unlikely he will play.

  • Hawks' Kevin Knox: Won't make Atlanta debut Friday

Knox (not with team) is out for Friday's contest against the Heat, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports.

The Knicks dealt the 2018 first-round pick to Atlanta in the deal for Cam Reddish, but Knox hasn't joined his new team yet. His next chance to make his Hawks debut will be Saturday against his former team.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Dealt to Hawks

The Hawks acquired Knox and a protected 2022 first-round pick from the Knicks on Thursday in exchange for Cam Reddish, Solomon Hill (hamstring) and a 2025 second-round pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Wojnarowski presents Knox as a throw-in to this trade, and that might not be far off from the truth. Despite his status as a 2018 lottery selection, Knox has appeared in just 13 games this season and has averaged 3.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.5 minutes. His scoring average has decreased each season he's been in the league, and he's yet to shoot better than 39.2 percent from the field in any of his four years. At this point, Knox needs to be worried about his status in the NBA once his rookie deal expires this offseason. His path to fantasy relevance in Atlanta is arguably more blocked than it was in New York, so it may take several injuries to other forwards before Knox picks up a regular role off the bench.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Not listed on injury report

Knox is not listed on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game at Minnesota.

Knox cleared COVID-19 protocols last week but was held out of the Knicks' Christmas Day matchup against the Hawks for conditioning reasons. It's unclear if he'll be part of the rotation Tuesday night, but he'll be available should coach Tom Thibodeau choose to call his number.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Inactive Saturday

Knox will be inactive for Saturday's Christmas matchup with the Knicks due to conditioning, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports.

Knox was cleared from the NBA's health and safety protocols on Friday. However, his conditioning is not up to par for him to be made available Christmas Day. As a result, he will set his sights on a potential Tuesday return versus the Timberwolves.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Out of protocols

Knox has been cleared from the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Knox was one of several Knicks players who's missed the last few games (four, to be exact) while passing through protocols. He could face some conditioning limitations, but Knox will be available as the Knicks tip off the Christmas Day against the Hawks.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Placed in protocols

Knox entered the NBA's health and safety protocols and won't be available for at least Thursday's game against the Rockets.

Knox becomes the fourth Knicks player placed in the protocols in less than a week, joining Obi Toppin, RJ Barrett and Quentin Grimes. At this point, the Knicks haven't revealed whether Knox was deactivated due to a positive test of the virus or after being deemed a close contact of an infected person. The absences of Toppin and Barrett for the past two games and Grimes for the most recent contest allowed Knox to pick up at least 20 minutes in both of his latest two appearances before entering the health and safety protocols.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Season-best outing Sunday

Knox finished with 18 points (6-15 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 28 minutes of play during Sunday's 112-97 loss to Milwaukee.

Coming into Sunday's defeat to the Bucks, Knox's previous best outing was a two-point showing during eight minutes of play in a Nov. 26 loss to the Suns. The fourth-year forward exploded for season-highs in points, rebounds and minutes as the absences of RJ Barrett (COVID), Obi Toppin (COVID), and Alec Burks (personal) left the Knicks quite short-handed. Knox did average 12.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a 19-year-old rookie, so hopefully this performance can get the Kentucky product rolling here in his fourth season. If New York remains undermanned Tuesday against the Warriors, Knox emerges as a high-risk, high-reward fantasy option in DFS formats.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: DNP in double-OT thriller

Knox was a DNP-Coach's Decision during Wednesday's season-opening double-overtime win over the Celtics.

Knox is out of coach Tom Thibodeau's rotation to begin the season. While not surprising, it's noteworthy given that Knox was the ninth overall pick in 2018 and is now seemingly at risk of falling out of the league by next season when his rookie contract expires.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Out for Summer League

Knox will not participate in Summer League, as he's been placed in health and safety protocols.

Knox requested to be on the team, but he'll ultimately be unable to play due to protocols. Knox has struggled to find a consistent role since being drafted No. 9 overall in 2018. During the Knicks' surprising run last season, he saw just 11.0 minutes per game in 42 appearances. On the plus side, he shot a career-high 39.3 percent from distance, though it was on just 89 total attempts.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Will play in Summer League

Knox is expected to be on the Knicks Summer League roster per his request to be on the team, Ian Begley of SportsNet New Yorkreports.

Knox reportedly requested to play for the Summer League team following his third season in the NBA. The forward had a rough season last year as he averaged 3.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 42 games. The 21-year-old likely wants to join the team to prove to the Knicks coaches that he deserves a role in the rotation for this upcoming season.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Falling down depth chart

Knox is averaging 4.8 minutes, 2.0 points and 0.3 rebounds in nine games since the All-Star break.

The 2018 ninth-overall pick is struggling to find consistent run, playing 10-plus minutes only once since January. Before the All-Star game, Knox saw 15.2 minutes per game, which would have been similar to his playing time from his sophomore year (17.9), but with the Knicks in contention for a postseason berth, the youth movement seems to have fallen by the wayside. Julius Randle's breakout year and the addition of rookie Obi Toppin haven't helped Knox's case, either.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Drops seven off bench

Knox totaled seven points (2-5 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.

With the game out of hand in the third quarter, the forward managed 19 minutes of action, which was his most since Jan. 24 against Utah. His seven points and two threes were also his best total since Jan. 13 against Brooklyn when he recorded 13 points. Entering Tuesday, Knox was averaging 5.0 points and 1.9 rebounds.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Absent Monday

Knox didn't play in Monday's win over the Hawks.

Knox appeared in each of the past two games before Monday's absence. Since Jan. 26, the Kentucky product has only appeared in four games while scoring a total of two points.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Drops out of rotation

Knox (coach's decision) didn't see the floor Sunday in the Knicks' 129-115 loss to the Clippers.

With Reggie Bullock (neck) returning from a three-game absence Sunday, the Knicks had all of their key guards and wings available for one of the few times all season. After being held under 10 minutes in both of his previous two contests, Knox was unsurprisingly squeezed out of the rotation to make room for Bullock, allowing Alec Burks to run with Immanuel Quickley and Austin Rivers as part of a three-guard second unit. Before sitting out Sunday's contest, Knox had averaged 6.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers in 18.2 minutes per game over 20 outings.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Leads team with 19 off bench

Knox compiled 19 points (7-17 FG, 5-12 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot across 29 minutes in Monday's 109-88 loss to the Hornets.

Despite his impressive skills and versatility as an all-purpose playmaker in college, Knox has yet to realize his full potential in the NBA. Monday's performance was evidence of what he can do when given the opportunity. He showed off a deadly three-point shot and also mixed it up in the paint. He's trapped behind Julius Randle, and RJ Barrett on the depth chart, and Obi Toppin's return will make playing time hard to come by. He'll need to maximize his limited opportunities now, while he has them.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Good to go

Knox (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the Nuggets.

The Knicks continue to include Knox on their pregame injury reports, though he's yet to miss any time this season. In his most recent outing Friday against OKC, Knox posted nine points and four rebounds off the bench.

  • Knicks' Kevin Knox: Probable Sunday

Knox (knee) is probable for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.

Knox has been dealing with left knee soreness but has yet to miss time. Over the past three games, he's averaging 7.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in 18.7 minutes.
