Angels' Brendan Ryan: Out of lineup Thursday

Ryan is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers.

Gregorio Petit will get the start at shortstop in place of Ryan for Thursday's series finale against the cross-town Dodgers. Since joining the Angels, Ryan has gone hitless in 11 at-bats with six strikeouts. Furthermore, he's only made two starts in the last week, so it appears Petit may have the edge in playing time at shortstop for the Angels.
