Moniak is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Red Sox, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Moniak started the previous five games and will take a seat after going 4-for-21 with eight strikeouts during that stretch. Aaron Hicks will man right field and bat fifth Friday at Boston.
