Blue Jays' Hector Perez: Placed on 40-man roster

Perez was added to Toronto's 40-man roster Tuesday.

Perez recorded a 3.86 ERA with 32 punchouts over 25 innings (five starts) with Double-A New Hampshire after being traded from the Astros at the end of July. He was granted protection from the Rule 5 draft to ensure he would remain with Toronto's farm system.
