Braves' Danny Santana: Placed on 60-day DL

Santana (quad) was placed on the 60-day DL on Tuesday, David O'Brien of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The plan was for Santana to return to the Braves' active roster this week, but he tweaked his quad again during a rehab game and that setback will cost Santana the rest of the season. As a light-hitting utility man, Santana won't warrant consideration outside of deep, league-only formats next spring.
