Brignac has cleared waivers and will be assigned to Triple-A Gwinnett, Kevin McAlpin of 680 The Fan reports.
After getting designated for assignment Friday, Brignac will elect to remain in the organization, rather than become a free agent. A backup infielder for one of the most offensively-challenged teams in baseball likely wasn't going to get much attention on the free agent market anyway.
