Gamel (oblique) practiced swinging a bat Monday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
In addition to playing catch Monday, this was Gamel's first time taking swings since injuring his oblique at the beginning of March. As he continues increasing his level of activity, it should become clear when he'll be able to return.
