Mathis left Saturday's game against Oakland with a lower-back strain.
The injury doesn't appear to be too serious, as Mathis is considered day-to-day. Isiah Kiner-Falefa looks to be the backup to Jose Trevino behind the plate if Mathis misses an extended period, though he hasn't started at the position since early June.
