Gaviglio will start Thursday's game against the Twins, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
Prior to being acquired by the Royals, Gaviglio had appeared in 12 games (62.1 innings) with the Mariners, 11 of which were starts. He went 3-5 over and put together a 4.62 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. Control wasn't his strong suit, as he threw for a 40:21 K:BB in that time.
