Jay was placed on the minor-league disabled list due to a shoulder impingement, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Jay managed to appear in just two games out of Double-A Chattanooga's bullpen before getting injured yet again. It's unclear how severe this injury is, but at this point, the Twins are likely going to be very cautious with the embattled pitcher. Prior to getting hurt, Jay gave up a solo home run, walked three and struck out two in two innings of relief work.
