Miley allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five across seven innings in a no-decision versus San Diego on Thursday. The two runs against the southpaw came on solo home runs by Fernando Tatis and Manny Machado. In 10 of his 12 starts this year, Miley has limited the opposition to two or fewer earned runs. He's posted a strong 2.88 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 56:19 K:BB across 68.2 innings. The southpaw lines up for a decent matchup next week on the road in Minnesota.
Miley (6-4) picked up the win in Saturday's 10-3 victory over the Rockies, giving up three runs (two earned) on six hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out three. The veteran southpaw got tagged for three runs in the second inning, but the Reds' offense erased the deficit in the third and kept on rolling. The quality start was the fifth of the season for Miley, and he'll take a 2.92 ERA and 51:17 K:BB through 61.2 innings into his next outing.
Miley didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Cardinals despite tossing five scoreless innings in which he allowed four hits and two walks while fanning eight. This was Miley's first no-decision of the campaign, but the left-hander has been tossing the ball well of late -- he has given up one or fewer runs in four of his last five starts (27.2 innings). His next start is scheduled for next week at home against the Rockies.

The veteran left-hander was making his first start since May 19 after recovering from a foot sprain, and Miley delivered his fourth quality start of the season while tossing 102 pitches (63 strikes). He'll take a 3.26 ERA and 40:14 K:BB through 49.2 innings into his next outing.
Miley (foot) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Phillies. Miley suffered a sprained left foot in mid-May, but he'll return to the mound after a brief stay on the injured list. The southpaw has posted a 3.50 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 43.2 innings across eight starts to begin the year. Left-hander Cionel Perez was optioned to Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move.
