Whiteside is out for Wednesday's preseason action against the Mavericks due to left heel soreness, Andy Larsen of KSL.com reports.
The Jazz will be deploying the B Team against the Mavericks on Wednesday. Most of Utah's key players are getting the night off for rest. There's no indication Whiteside's injury is serious.
